New rail boards were recently installed on various ranges on the Fall Cleanup Day. Let’s keep them from being damaged by following the proper procedure in hanging targets.

It is the member’s responsibility to provide their own paper targets and stapler to hang targets. Cardboard is provided and can be found next to the soft drink machine at the Club House. Please be careful when hanging your targets. Center the paper targets to prevent damage to the target frames and high enough so bullet will impact the earthen backstop and not the ground. Do not staple targets directly to the target frame. Failure to follow this policy may result in termination of your membership. Re-use cardboard if possible.

Remember and Follow the 4 Rules of Gun Safety:
• Treat every firearm as if it was loaded.
• Never point your firearm at anything you are not willing to destroy.
• Keep your finger off the trigger until your sights are on target and you have made the decision to shoot.
• Be sure of your target and what is beyond it.

The updated set of JRGC Range Safety Rules and Procedures can be found on our web site at http://www.jaspergunclub.com/membership/club-rules/. If you need a printed copy, send a request to our email address.

If you have any questions or suggestions, feel free to email or call us. We strive to respond to any issues as quickly as possible.

Have a safe and enjoyable year from us at the Jasper Rifle and Gun Club!
